Bio

Joseph DeRosa earned his bachelor’s degree in music from Millersville University, his teaching credentials from Rutgers University, and his master’s in music education from Eastern Washington University.

His main instruments are the clarinet and the saxophone, and he also teaches beginner piano lessons. At his school job, he teaches general/vocal and music technology.

Today, Joseph is a performer in the New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra, the Westfield Musical Club, Maplewood Community Band, he performs in gigs and he gives private instrument lessons throughout Union County. 

Teaching Info

I offer private lessons at every student’s house, and these lessons are taught in either 30- or 60-minute sessions, depending on the student’s preference.

In addition to the lesson, Joseph can create arrangements of popular music that the students can learn to play and small virtual duets.
