Bio

Hi! I’m Gammi, a professional flutist and music educator based in the New York/New Jersey area!

I hold a “Master of Music from The Juilliard School” and a “Professional Performance Diploma” in Orchestral Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

As a professional flutist, I’ve had the opportunity to perform with orchestras and chamber ensembles at amazing venues including “Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Seiji Ozawa Hall”. I love bringing my real-world performance experience into my lessons and helping students not only play the notes, but also develop a beautiful tone, musical expression, confidence, and stage presence.

I truly believe that every student learns differently. That’s why I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual goals, level, and personality.

Whether you’re picking up the flute for the very first time, playing in your school band or orchestra, preparing for a Youth Orchestra audition, or working toward music school auditions and competitions, I’m here to help you grow and enjoy the process!

Most importantly, I want my lessons to be a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and becoming a more confident musician.

Teaching Info

My lessons are personalized to your goals, experience, and interests. Whether you’re picking up the flute for the first time, playing just for fun, or preparing for an audition, competition, or music school, we’ll build the lesson around YOU!

Beginners: Learn the basics without making it boring — posture, breathing, tone, technique, sight-reading, and your favorite songs!

Intermediate/Advanced:Improve your tone, technique, musical expression, and confidence while working on the music YOU want to play.

Want to try something different? Jazz, K-pop, pop, movie music, Broadway, classical — **I’m down!** We can even arrange songs specifically for flute.

Basically…you bring the music, I’ll bring the flute energy lol
